The number of the block in which the prisoner was housed was usually written in pencil by hand in the upper right-hand corner of the card. If the block number changed, the new number was noted on the registry office card. Sometimes there are two numbers on the card divided by a slash. This indicates both the block and the room (Stube) to which the prisoner was assigned. Instead of a number, the abbreviation "KA" for Kommandanturarrest can also appear here.
